Marek Piaček (1972, Bratislava), Slovak composer, flutist, pedagogue. Co-founder of the ensemble Požoň sentimentál. He writes operas, symphonic and chamber compositions, composes film and theatre music. He works with electronic, electroacoustic and improvised music. His compositions have been performed at numerous concerts and festivals at home and abroad and have been released on more than three dozen CDs, DVDs and LPs. He conducts music workshops, is the author of several theoretical monographs, including Music as an Act, Music as an Enowning, Music as Theatre..., professional and artistic radio programmes (Devín, Vltava, Œ1). Currently he works as a video producer of audio-video recordings of concerts of the Slovak Philharmonic and lectures at the Faculty of Film and Television of the Academy of Performing Arts, Bratislava.
